AOG Purchasing Engineer
In close contact with MOC, you'll handle urgent part requests where no stock is available at the respective station, monitor and coordinate AOG trans, to minimize the aircraft’s time out of service.

Job Purpose
In close contact with MOC, handles urgent part requests where no stock is available at the respective station. Places pool, purchase, exchange, loan orders and/or transfers material between stations to minimize the aircraft’s time out of service and monitors and coordinates AOG transportation efforts closely.
Main Accountabilities
- Selection of best-possible sourcing alternatives to urgent cases (AOG / AOG Risk / MEL A) requiring spares.
- Issue of AOG and Critical orders according to the internal authorization regulations, the procurement policies and the existing contracts.
- Close monitoring of the release of the spares from the supplier and shipment management.
- Track and document all AOG sourcing stages to guarantee seamless handover between shifts.
- Management of the communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers and logistic providers in AOG cases.
- Handover of material redelivery information to the respective teams.
- Represent the Technical Supply Chain department in AOG meetings, as required.
- Improve the company’s market knowledge and expand the network of contacts across Vueling’s network for AOG cases.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization.
- Invoice administration.
- Claim handling.
- Supplier registration into AMOS/SAP.
Education
- University degree or equivalent higher education in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or Economics.
Experience
- Minimum 2-year experience in AOG Desk or 4-year experience in operational purchasing or logistics for an aircraft MRO, airline or aerospace supplier.
Competencies
- Structured and able to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
Languages
- Fluent English and Spanish.
Other
- Knowledge of the aircraft spares market and preferable EASA Part M & Part 145 regulation.
- Knowledge of basic aircraft maintenance concepts.
- Knowledge of aviation ERP systems (AMOS is a plus).
