The primary role of the Senior Pricing Specialist is to lead the growth, management, and optimization of revenue through strategic pricing initiatives (i.e. short-term tactics, as well as long-term projects). As a member of Pricing and Analytics team, your focus will be on Operational part of the Pricing ecosystem, everything from execution to automation of tools and processes.
The Pricing Specialist will be responsible of loading the fare structures and all the other elements (for eg. airport taxes and fees) into our distribution systems to be displayed throughout all VY available channels (Web, Mobile, GDS, etc).
The role will require close cooperation with colleagues from other teams of Commercial department: particularly in Revenue Management Systems and Inventory, but also with other departments like Marketing, Digital, IT Solutions, Legal, Data, Distribution, Ancillaries and Sales.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Pricing & Analytics in developing and executing the strategic vision for the entire network of Vueling Airlines
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
Ensure periodic fare structure reviews to secure commercial alignment with Vueling´s product value proposition.
Advisory and consulting on revenues best practices, including promotions planning, private fares campaign, TTOO and groups pricing.
Definition of policies for interlining with partner carriers (SPAs) and loading of fares of codeshare partners within the IAG group (IB, BA).
Assist on all key pricing related projects, providing quick response to competitor actions, as well as to changes in competitive environment.
Identify areas of opportunities for potential revenue, analyze key performance indicators.
Ensure the Pricing Policy guidelines are followed and are continuously updated
University degree with focus on quantitative methods, econometrics, business economics or related degree programs.
Experience in mathematical software, databases, comfortable working with large data sets (Excel/Alteryx/R or others) and business intelligence tools (Tableau/Power BI/SAP BO or others).
Experience with Navitaire (SkyFare / SkySpeed /Utilities) and AirRM is considered a plus.
Thinking beyond borders and acting for the whole.
Prior experience in a multi-national environment as an asset.
Ability to communicate complex ideas in English, both in writing and verbally.
