 Job Purpose

The Long-Term Planner will be in charge of successfully project manage a fleet transformation project across all departments in Operations. The candidate will have to be capable to work under an ambiguous working environment, where the workload is not pre-defined with tight deadlines, and be able to identify proactively new solutions when results are not following the plan. It must be a result-oriented professional with high social skills, able to relate all hierarchy levels within Operations.

Main Responsibilities - Tasks

- PMO Fleet Transformation across Operations:

• Roadmap definition for the day-to-day work.
• Track progress over the actions and deadlines.
• Identify risks, stoppers, and bottlenecks.
• Remove barriers and enable for the working OPS team to succeed.
• Meetings Set-up for all ops departments coordination, validation and ops strategy alignment.
• Track OPS adherence to operational targets.

- Cost tracking:

• Track OPS adherence to FP/RF financial targets.
• Monthly closings costs control and build FP/RF OPS costs assumptions.
• Alignment with all areas.
• Work hand in hand with Finance.
• Transformed Ops requirements into financial trade-off scenarios for Business Cases.

- Stakeholder management:

• Act as the OPS focal point in coordination with the different OPS areas for both Internal (OPS & Wider VY company) and External (Suppliers) stakeholders.
• Support VY teams on supplier management negotiations.

- Analysis:

• Being able to perform conceptual/financial analysis and Business case.
• Able to translate numerical concepts into Power Point presentations.
• Support OPS Areas in building scenarios.
• Data set-up for analysis and models.

Main Relationships

• All Production departments (Directors & Teams).
• All VY areas (Strategy & Transformation area, Network & Scheduling, Commercial, Finance & Customer).

Education

• Master/degree in engineering.
• High level of English, spoken and written.

Experience 

• At least 2 years' experience in an airline Operations (preferably Flight Operations or Crew Planning or Maintenance) or Finance Planning.
• Experience in similar role positions is valuable.
• Experience in management.
