As a Crew Controller, you are part of Crew Planning dept, and are responsible for both Pilot and Cabin Crew resourcing on a day-to-day basis, to ensure a reliable punctual operation.

Crew Controllers are part of Crew Planning department, reporting to the Head of Crew Operations, they are responsible for both Pilot and Cabin Crew resourcing on a day-to-day basis, to ensure a reliable punctual operation.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
Ensure that crew resources (both Pilot and Cabin Crew) are managed in the most efficient and cost-effective way, in compliance with documented statutory and regulatory requirements
Handle operational incidents: aircraft rerouting, low staffing (time of sicks)
Maintain and develop a professional standard of relations with Crew, other Line Departments, and fellow team members
Have a working knowledge of crew agreements and roster policies
Participate in Operations Control projects where required
Support functions of Crew Control and provide cover where needed
Prioritize safety and punctuality in all crew and operation decisions.
Proven experience in Crew Control operations (or other similar positions) with a minimum of 2 years.
Relevant education will be an asset.
Be familiar with pre-tactical functions of Crew Control and provide cover where needed
A sound knowledge and appreciation of the detail and complexity of the regulatory environment governing airline operations.
An appreciation of the role of the OCC in achieving overall company objectives
Resilient with proven ability to manage complex and unpredictable situations, while working within a pressurised environment
Excellent people skills with the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with management and staff at all levels
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve problems

Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
High level of commitment and flexibility
Excellent punctuality and attendance record
Strong I.T. skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
