Job Purpose
Support the management and optimization of Vueling's flight program across the whole network, ensuring seasonal assignments are aligned with operational needs and strategic business objectives, while optimizing flight schedules to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Main Accountabilities
- Assist in managing Vueling's network-wide flight programs, ensuring that the schedules align with strategic business and operational needs.
- Engage in various planning cycles to ensure the airline's flight operations are prepared for future demands and adjustments are made in response to emerging trends and data.
- Develop a baseline weekly schedule that serves as a template for operational planning across different seasons.
- Apply detailed adjustments to the flight schedule based on specific needs of sub seasons like holiday periods or special events.
- Evaluate the profitability and operational feasibility of existing flight schedules and propose adjustments in capacity, either increasing or reducing flights as needed.
- Work closely with scheduling, revenue management, and strategy teams to integrate their inputs into the flight planning process.
- Oversee the practical application of changes to the flight schedule based on the planning team's recommendations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of charter flights, coordinating closely with the sales team and other stakeholders.
- Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.

- Achieve a flight schedule that maximizes profitability while meeting operational constraints and strategic goals.
- Enhance the adaptability and responsiveness of the flight schedule to changes in market conditions and operational demands.
- Establish a consistent and optimized weekly framework that can be adapted for various operational needs and seasonal variations.
- Tailor the flight operations to capitalize on unique seasonal opportunities, enhancing revenue and customer satisfaction during peak periods.
- Optimize the use of aircraft and crew by aligning flight capacity with current demand, ensuring operational efficiency and financial profitability.
- Enhance coordination and communication across departments, leading to a more cohesive strategy and execution of the flight program.
- Ensure that adjustments to the flight program are executed efficiently, leading to improved operational performance and customer satisfaction.
- Successfully introduce and manage charter flights that meet the specific needs of various clients, thereby generating additional revenue.
- Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee´s hand.

Education
Disciplines with a strong numerical component are preferred, such as engineering, economics, business administration (BA), or management.
Experience
- The ability to analyse flight profitability and perform adjustments based on operational requirements is crucial.
- Proficiency in data analysis, understanding of airline operations, and familiarity with scheduling and revenue management principles.
- While prior industry knowledge is not mandatory, familiarity with aviation terms and concepts is beneficial.
