 Job Purpose

The Accounting Specialist will ensure accurate and efficient financial management and recording of aircraft maintenance operations by maintaining precise accounting records and performing detailed cost analyses. It will also be involved in other accounting processes.

Main Accountabilities

• Achieve maximum efficiency, security and robustness in MRO accounting processes.
  
• Better informed strategic planning and increased financial agility in responding to policy changes.
• Streamlined audit process and reduced discrepancies
• Guarantee smooth coordination with external service providers. ensuring that Vueling's treasury is managed effectively, and issues are resolved quickly.
• Ensure the information is correctly reflected and secure.
• Improve the quality, accessibility and visibility of financial data, allowing for better-informed decisions.

Main Responsibilities - Tasks

• Maintain detailed and accurate financial records of all aircraft maintenance transactions (MRO), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of maintenance costs to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving measures along with the business partner.
• Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to gather financial data and provide support for financial decision-making.
• Assist the manager in the relations with IAG as well as the internal and external auditors.
• Help the manger to coordinate the GBS team GBS (Global Business Services) to ensure t hat all the transactional accounting processes are well taken care of and are done according to our needs.
• Ensure all financial practices related to aircraft maintenance adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the digital accounting manager to define and identify the financial needs to be digitalized.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or related fields.
  

Experience

• At least 2 to 3 years of accounting or auditing experience.
