Mission
Support the development and optimization of the airline network through data-driven analysis, market intelligence, commercial agreement management, and stakeholder engagement. The role contributes to route development decisions, airport and tourism board partnerships, performance monitoring, and the long-term profitability and sustainability of the network.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Support the Network Development Manager in the analysis, preparation, and execution of network development initiatives and commercial agreements.
Analyze market trends, traffic flows, airport performance, competitor activity, tourism trends, and economic indicators to identify route opportunities and market potential.
Participate in negotiations with airports, tourism offices, and other stakeholders, preparing supporting analyses and documentation.
Negotiate selected agreements independently to secure incentives, marketing support, and other commercial benefits.
Monitor route and agreement performance, including profitability, load factors, revenue, incentive achievement, and contractual compliance.
Track and manage contractual obligations, incentive schemes, public tenders, and marketing commitments through internal monitoring tools.
Maintain databases, dashboards, performance trackers, and reporting systems related to network development activities.
Prepare financial analyses, benchmarking reports, market studies, business cases, and negotiation materials.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Network Planning & Strategy, Revenue Management, Marketing, Public Affairs, Finance, Legal, Operations, and IAG Transform.
Support the administration and monthly financial closing of commercial agreements and incentives portfolios.
Produce regular and ad hoc reports on market developments, route performance, airport activity, and agreement status.
Organize and participate in industry events, airport conferences, stakeholder meetings, and workshops, ensuring effective follow-up and documentation.
Identify risks, opportunities, and inconsistencies arising from market analysis, contract monitoring, or stakeholder engagement activities.
Communicate network strategy to external stakeholders and contribute to strengthening strategic partnerships.
Academic Background
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree in Business Management or a similar discipline is highly valued.
Strong knowledge of:
Airline economics and route development.
Airport charges and aviation taxes.
Revenue management principles.
Aviation supply and demand dynamics.
Aviation market competition and commercial strategy.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience negotiating with airports, tourism authorities, or other external aviation partners.
Experience in financial accounting, revenue management, network planning, airport strategy, airport development or similar analytical functions within the airline industry.
High level of Excel.
Proven ability to analyze and interpret multiple data sources to generate actionable business insights.
Demonstrated contribution to commercial performance, route development, or network growth initiatives.
Experience with contract management and understanding of legal and commercial aspects of airline operations.
