Job Purpose
The Flight Operations Projects Engineer and EFB Administrator is in charge of the key transformation projects within the flight operations area. Their main function is to be the project manager of transversal projects and to be the EFB administrator. Projects involve the implementation of EFB (Electronic Flight Bag), such as e-loadsheet and e-TLB, Datalink, improvements in flight dispatch tool, digitalization of flight operations, among others.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Assisting flight ops engineering teams in coordination of the rest of operational areas such us training, compliance or safety and external organizations such as the aircraft manufacturer, suppliers or CAA.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Enhance constant communications establishing a daily, weekly and monthly basis of governance meetings to assure that Flt OPS – Training - Safety/Compliance and IT are aligned and roll with functions assigned.
- Keep CAA and suppliers constantly engaged to respond on time and to not delay the project phases
- Ensure a communication bridge between the technical areas and the stakeholders by understanding in-depth all the tasks.
- Keep regular meeting and follow-up tasks with all the IT teams involved in the development of the necessary apps and infrastructure to achieve the deadlines of the projects.
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
- Ensure all the documentation related to each project is correctly updated and complies with the standards of the company.
- Coordinates the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation.
- Adhere to the risk assessment and mitigation actions plan to comply with the regulation and the Operations Manual (OM) of the company.
- Revises the regulation to ensure all the projects comply with the regulation (AirOPS, IOSA).
- Ensures constant contact with the CAA to meet all their expectations and obtain the required approvals.
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
- Leading the EFB administration organization to ensure the continuity of the system and coordinating all the required actions and updates with all the stakeholders (sub-administrators and IT team).
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
- Identifying and developing new opportunities with pilots.
- Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
- Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Main Relationships
- Departments in Operations area, CAA.
Education
- Aeronautical Engineering Degree (required).
Experience
- 3 year experience in engineering/operations project management (PMO) in airline positions.
- Previous experience in flight operations and/or EFB.
Competencies
- Technical documentation writing capabilities.
- Planning and managerial capabilities.
- CAA formal communication and submissions for approval.
- Advanced knowledge of Office tools.
- High communication skills and proactivity.
- VBA Programming (desired).
Languages
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
Location
Viladecans (Barcelona).

Individual Contributor 5 (TEC).
