Job Purpose
Manage and oversee operational and maintenance changes within the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and mitigating potential risks, to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain operational integrity.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Provide a clear understanding of the potential consequences of changes and ensure informed decision-making.
- Ensure smooth and efficient implementation of changes with minimal disruption.
- Ensure effective and appropriate measures are in place to manage risks.
- Guarantee that all affected parties are informed and prepared for the changes.
- Maintain compliance and facilitate smooth communication with regulatory bodies.
- Ensure continuous adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Ensure that the company stays up-to-date with regulatory requirements and makes necessary adjustments to comply.
- Ensure that all manuals are current, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Make the department managed a better place to work.
- Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee´s hand.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Manage operational and maintenance changes, ensuring that all changes within the operations and maintenance areas are managed according to regulatory standards.
- Evaluate and analyze potential hazards, assessing potential hazards associated with proposed changes to identify any operational limitations or restrictions.
- Perform thorough impact assessments for all proposed changes to evaluate their effects on operations and maintenance.
- Coordinate change implementation, establishing and following inga structured process for implementing changes, including setting timelines and coordinating with relevant departments.
- Approve and validate mitigation measures proposed by departments to address identified hazards.
- Oversee communication and dissemination of changes, ensuring that all changes are effectively communicated and disseminated to relevant stakeholders, including the creation and distribution of necessary documentation.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, acting as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities such as AESA for all matters related to change management.
- Support compliance monitoring, acting as the deputy compliance monitoring manager when necessary, supporting the monitoring of compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Conduct thorough analyses of new regulatory changes to determine their impact on company operations.
- Oversee the review and updating of operation manuals and associated documentation before submission to regulatory bodies.
- Conduct internal audits as required, leveraging expertise in specific operational areas to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Organize and manage the team, promoting their development, teamwork, and communication, between their collaborators and the rest of the Company.
- Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.

Education
- Degree in Aeronautical or Airport Management
- Essential knowledge includes proficiency in project management (PMP), an in-depth understanding of operational control centers (OCC), and a comprehensive grasp of the aviation industry's standards and challenges.
- Customer Service
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, data analysis tools, reporting tools, and
presenting strategic insights to senior management.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience within the aviation industry is required. Within airline operations.
- Experience in managing complex operational issues, leading cross-functional project teams, and interacting with senior management is critical. Prior roles such as Duty Manager, Operational Manager, or a similar position within airline operations provide the practical skills and insights necessary for this role, enabling the candidate to make informed decisions and drive meaningful improvements.
- Experience with IT project management and familiarity with specific operational tools, such as disruption recovery tools, can be advantageous, offering the ability to
leverage technology in optimizing operational performance and innovation initiatives.
