Job Purpose
Manage and oversee the entry and exit projects of aircraft within Vueling's fleet, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant transitions.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure a seamless transition of aircraft in and out of the fleet within set timeframes and budgets.
- Maintain operational awareness and prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Identify and address any financial discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
- Ensure Vueling's compliance and protect its interests during aircraft transitions.
- Guarantee aircraft meet Vueling's operational standards before acceptance or return.
- Address and rectify any identified issues promptly.
- Ensure all necessary maintenance tasks are identified and scheduled.
- Ensure all components meet contractual and operational requirements before aircraft return.
- Ensure the timely availability of necessary parts and materials for maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for aircraft transitions.
- Refine and enhance the transition processes, ensuring increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved compliance in future projects.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Manage the entire process of aircraft acceptance and return, ensuring all tasks align with Vueling's operational standards.
- Communicate aircraft grounding times for deliveries and redeliveries across relevant departments, ensuring all systems are updated accordingly.
- Oversee the financial aspects of delivery and redelivery projects, ensuring costs are tracked and within budget.
- Provide expert advice and support during major check procedures for aircraft deliveries and redeliveries.
- Conduct thorough analyses of aircraft lease agreements, identifying obligations and rights of both parties.
- Negotiate and oversee the technical acceptance process of aircraft, ensuring all conditions are met as per lease agreements.
- Manage annual audits by aircraft lessors, ensuring compliance with lease terms and maintenance standards.
- Supervise and collaborate in the creation of work packages for aircraft delivery and redelivery, aligning with major check procedures.
- Oversee plans for engine, APU, and landing gear changes, including recovery of contractual parts for redeliveries.
- Handle materials management for delivery and redelivery projects, following procedures applicable to major checks.
- Act as the focal point for communications with AESA (Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency) related to deliveries and redeliveries, ensuring all necessary permits and operational approvals are obtained.
- Conduct post-project reviews upon the completion of each delivery and redelivery project, gathering insights and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Main Relationships
- Operational Departments: Including Maintenance, Flight Operations, and Ground Operations, to ensure alignment on aircraft availability and readiness.
- Technical Departments: Such as Engineering and Quality Assurance, for guidance on maintenance checks, technical acceptances, and regulatory compliance.
- Finance and Procurement Departments: For budgeting, cost tracking, and negotiation of contracts related to the delivery and redelivery processes.
- Legal Department: To analyze lease agreements, manage contractual obligations, and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Aircraft Lessors and Owners: Direct communication with aircraft lessors or owners for negotiating terms, conducting audits, and managing the acceptance and redelivery of aircraft.
- Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Organizations: For coordination of maintenance tasks, major checks, and addressing any discrepancies during the transition process.
- Regulatory Bodies: Including the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) and possibly other international aviation authorities, for obtaining necessary permits, operational approvals, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Suppliers and Manufacturers: For the procurement of parts, components, and services necessary for the aircraft transition process.
- Project Management Teams: Collaboration with project management teams or units within the company that oversee the broader scope of aircraft transitions.
Education
Degree in Aeronautical Management or Engineering Background in Aeronautical or Mechanical.
Experience
Minimum 2-3 years in aircraft maintenance, airline operations (CAMO, MCC, MOC, etc.).
