Job Purpose
Design and implement training programmes for the maintenance management organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes, to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team for safe and efficient fleet operations.
Main Accountabilities
- Achieve a fully trained maintenance team proficient in essential operational procedures and systems for enhanced safety and efficiency.
- Ensure the maintenance team complies with all regulatory training requirements to maintain high safety and operational standards.
- Create a comprehensive Training Plan that addresses the learning needs of the maintenance team, promoting continuous skill and knowledge development.
- Implement effective and engaging training methods that enhance learning outcomes and operational competence.
- Increase awareness and participation in training programmes, ensuring employees are informed and motivated to develop their skills.
- Pinpoint and address specific training needs, closing skill gaps and boosting overall operational efficiency.
- Equip the training programmes with the necessary materials and aids, enhancing the effectiveness of the learning experience.
- Ensure accurate and current documentation of all training activities and personnel qualifications, facilitating compliance and readiness for audits.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance practices and projects through effective training and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the selection of high-quality training providers that meet the company’s standards and regulatory requirements, enhancing the team's skills and compliance.
- Maintain a high level of training effectiveness, ensuring that all maintenance personnel are competent and compliant with aviation regulations.
- Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee´s hand.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Ensure all maintenance team members are trained in internal processes, the AMOS system, mandatory, recurrent, and role-specific training.
- Work closely with the Compliance Monitoring CAMO Department to guarantee the maintenance team meets all training requirements set by aviation authorities.
- Design and develop both internal and external training programmes, and review the Training Plan for all staff within the maintenance management organisation.
- Choose appropriate training methods and activities, such as simulators, classroom teachings, on-the-job training, and professional development classes.
- Market available training to employees and provide essential session information.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the organisation's training needs and identify skills or knowledge gaps.
- Create and procure necessary training and material aids.
- Keep the database of CVs and training records up-todate.
- Collaborate with the Reliability Department and other maintenance projects as required.
- Choose suitable external training providers for mandatory and supplementary training programmes.
- Oversee the effectiveness of training programmes and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
Main Relationships
- Maintenance Department Managers - Collaborates closely to assess training needs and ensure that all personnel receive the requisite training.
- Compliance Monitoring CAMO Department - Works in coordination to ensure all training meets regulatory requirements and standards.
- Quality and Safety Department - Coordinates to maintain and enhance training programs aligned with quality and safety standards.
- External Training Providers (Centres 147) - Selects and evaluates external providers for specialized training services.
- Aviation Authorities - Interacts for audits, ensuring all training activities comply with regulatory requirements.
- Technical Services Team - Collaborates on specific technical training needs and onboarding processes for new staff.
- Reliability Department - Works with for collaborative projects and to integrate operational insights into training programs.
- Human Resources (HR) Department - Collaborates for the management of training records, CVs, and possibly for onboarding new staff.
- Procurement Department - Coordinates with for sourcing and acquiring training materials and services.
Education
Aeronautical engineering degree or equivalent experience in aviation maintenance roles.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience working within a training department or similar roles, including quality and safety departments within aviation or maintenance organizations.
- Experience in designing and delivering technical training programs.
- Proven ability to assess training needs and develop appropriate training plans.
- Experience in selecting training providers and methodologies for both internal and external training.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and keeping training records up to date.
- Experience in collaborating with compliance and quality departments to ensure regulatory training requirements are met.
