Job Purpose
A high-impact role for a curious and analytical thinker. Own financial performance across the Customer area, bringing visibility to costs and shaping smarter business decisions through strategic modelling and insights.
Main Accountabilities
- Ensure full visibility of Customer area costs with clear, accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis that drives cost optimisation and improves operational performance.
- Provide reliable, data-backed business cases that support sound investment decisions.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure contracts deliver agreed value and service levels.
- Improve financial control and reduce cost leakage through targeted analysis and operational collaboration.
- Support the successful delivery of strategic projects by aligning financial planning with business outcomes.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Consolidate all Customer-related costs and ensure consistent tracking of budget and spend.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of cost structures to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and savings opportunities.
- Build financial models and business cases to support investment decisions and efficiency initiatives.
- Design and follow up processes to centralise, validate and report financial data across the Customer area.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor financial performance.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making in fast-moving environments.
- Contribute financial insight to transformation and improvement projects across the Customer area.
- Identify areas for process improvement or automation to strengthen cost control and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture of financial ownership and cost awareness across the Customer team.
Main Relationships
- Head of Customer Performance – for strategic alignment and reporting.
- Finance – for forecasting, budgeting, and financial governance.
- Procurement – for supplier analysis and contract performance.
- Customer Area Leads – for initiative development and business case inputs.
- Investment Committee – for proposal review and approvals.
Education
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience
- 3+ years in financial analysis, cost management, or commercial performance.
- Proven track record in building business cases and analysing cost structures.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or supplier evaluation.
- Previous people management experience is desired, but not essential.
