Job Purpose
Structure, analyse and transform operational and performance data into actionable insights and forward-looking recommendations, across the Operations department and related business areas (including iOCC, Network, Crew Planning and Ground Ops), in accordance with strategic transformation priorities, analytical methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks, in order to support root cause identification, improve operational efficiency and enable data-driven, business-aligned decision-making.
Main Accountabilities
- Generate meaningful, reliable and timely insights that inform operational and strategic decisions across departments.
- Facilitate continuous performance tracking, trend detection and transparency in results for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Allow early mitigation, improve reliability, and support proactive action before disruptions escalate.
- Enhance planning accuracy and operational resilience by anticipating events and optimising outcomes.
- Improve productivity, minimise manual effort, and enhance the scalability and repeatability of analytical work.
- Resolve inefficiencies at source, reduce recurrence of disruptions, and prioritise long-term solutions over tactical fixes.
- Maximise the impact of insights by ensuring they address relevant business challenges and support transformation roadmaps.
- Ensure that insights are understood, trusted and translated into concrete decisions or actions across the organisation.
- Help the business move from reactive problemsolving to proactive performance management and value generation
- Extend the value of the analyst’s work beyond operations and contribute to high-impact crossfunctional projects.
- Position the team at the forefront of analytical innovation and improve the robustness of decisionmaking tools.
- Contribute to sustainable performance improvements that are embedded in the company’s way of working.
- Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee´s hand.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Collect, structure and analyse operational data sets to assess
performance and identify improvement areas. - Build and maintain dashboards and reports that monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across operational processes.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies and anomalies that may indicate systemic or emerging operational risks.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of analytical models that support predictive and prescriptive decision-making.
- Support the automation of data processing, reporting and analytical workflows through suitable tools and platforms.
- Investigate and map root causes of operational issues, including those originating outside the OCC perimeter (e.g., Network, Crew Planning, Ground Operations).
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment between analytical efforts and operational or strategic objectives.
- Communicate analytical outputs in a structured and compelling manner, tailored to technical and business audiences alike.
- Evolve the role from descriptive reporting to prescriptive analytics, focusing on recommendation generation and strategic insight.
- Participate in broader corporate or transformation initiatives beyond the OCC domain, providing advanced analytics support.
- Explore new data sources and technologies, including AI, to enhance the organisation’s analytical maturity.
- Shift from symptomatic treatment of disruptions to structural prevention, enabling a more resilient and informed operational model.
- Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.
Main Relationships
- Operational Insights, Performance and Innovation Manager: Direct manager and project lead; ensures strategic alignment of analytics with transformation efforts.
- iOCC (Integrated Operations Control Centre): Provides data inputs and operational context for day-to-day and midterm performance assessment.
- Network and Scheduling: Engaged when investigating systemic causes of inefficiency or mismatch between plan and execution.
- Crew Planning: Collaborates on identifying impacts of crew allocations, rosters and swaps on performance.
- Ground Operations: Supports performance analysis and improvement of turnaround processes and airport coordination.
- Transformation / Corporate Strategy teams. Coordinates on projects of broader scope, often requiring crossfunctional analytical inputs.
- Customer Service / Commercial (indirectly): May be impacted by insights on delay propagation, NPS or disruption recovery dynamics.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Business, or a closely related discipline. People without a technical degree may be considered if they demonstrate strong analytical competence and business acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentation.
- Solid experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of operational KPIs, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Awareness of the strategic implications of operational performance (e.g., impact on
NPS, cost, resilience).
Experience
- Around 2–3 years in data analysis, performance monitoring or business intelligence.
- Delivering structured, insight-based reports and visualisations.
- Participating in or supporting cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Communicating insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Investigating structural vs. tactical issues using operational data.
Languages
- Fluent C1 English and Spanish, both spoken and written, as multilingual fluency
