Job Purpose
Provide engineering analysis, technical support and system-level data management, within the CAMO Engineering and Technical Services scope of the Maintenance organisation, in accordance with applicable airworthiness regulations, manufacturer technical documentation, internal procedures and under senior engineering supervision, in order to ensure that aircraft systems remain compliant, correctly documented and continuously airworthy for safe and uninterrupted operation.
Responsabilities
Support the resolution of aircraft inspection findings arising from ARC, ACAM, SANA, SAFA and SACA inspections.
Collaborate in the analysis and system implementation of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and associated Service Bulletins (SBs).
Manage and resolve technical queries related to aircraft systems, components and documentation.
Provide technical engineering support to daily maintenance and operational activities within the limits of assigned authority.
Create, validate and maintain part numbers and component data within the maintenance information system.
Support the creation, documentation and continuous improvement of internal engineering procedures.
Coordinate, under supervision, with Part-21 Design Organization Approval (DOA) entities on aircraft modifications.
Monitor and control hard-time (HT) component requirements for aircraft systems.
Assist in the review, correction and reconciliation of technical records and maintenance documentation discrepancies.
Support transversal improvement initiatives and engineering projects led by the Technical Services organization.
Accountabilities
Ensure the timely and compliant closure of regulatory and authority findings by supporting technical analysis, documentation review and corrective actions, enabling the issuance or renewal of aircraft airworthiness certificates without restrictions.
Ensure correct identification of aircraft and component applicability and accurate introduction of technical data into the maintenance system, supporting compliant decisions on mandatory and recommended actions.
Ensure effective day-to-day engineering support to maintenance, warehouse and internal stakeholders, safeguarding operational continuity.
Ensure that operational decisions related to aircraft systems are informed, compliant with manuals, and aligned with safety and regulatory constraints.
Ensure accurate, traceable and compliant configuration and part master data, allowing correct receipt, storage and installation of aircraft components.
Ensure engineering procedures are clear, efficient and robust through continuous documentation improvement.
Ensure approved aircraft modifications are correctly tracked, documented and incorporated, maintaining alignment with regulatory and maintenance requirements.
Ensure time-limited components remain within approved life limits, preventing exceedances that could compromise airworthiness.
Ensure technical records, work orders and task cards accurately reflect executed maintenance actions, supporting audit readiness, compliance and data integrity.
Ensure effective contribution to cross-functional engineering initiatives through structured analysis, system data handling and documentation support.
Main Relationships
Technical Services teams (Systems, Structures, Maintenance Programme, Transitions): Daily coordination to resolve findings, technical queries, documentation issues and to support system-level engineering analysis.
Maintenance Department (including Planning and Production): To support operational execution, clarify system related maintenance tasks, and coordinate corrective actions impacting aircraft availability.
Warehouse and Materials teams: To resolve part number creation, documentation gaps, component acceptability and technical queries related to component receipt and installation.
Quality and Airworthiness functions (indirectly): To support findings resolution and ensure that documentation and corrective actions meet regulatory expectations.
Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organizations and mechanics: To clarify technical documentation, validate maintenance task completion and correct or repeat records when discrepancies are identified.
Part-21 DOA organizations: To support aircraft modification activities by coordinating technical data, documentation and compliance evidence.
Aviation authorities (indirect interaction): Through findings support and documentation preparation, contributing to responses managed formally by Quality or Airworthiness departments.
Education
Aeronautical Engineering degree. Alternatively, an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) certification is accepted.
Fundamental knowledge of aircraft systems and airworthiness principles.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturer technical manuals and regulatory documentation.
Basic understanding of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and modification processes.
Familiarity with maintenance information systems (AMOS) and Microsoft Office tools.
Experience
Entry-level engineering position.
Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure operational environment, where aircraft dispatch requirements drive urgency.
Experience (or clear aptitude) in technical documentation handling, data validation and structured problem-solving.
