Job Purpose
Define and scale up Vueling’s ancillary and loyalty ecosystem across customer touch points and distribution channels. The role drives revenue growth, customer retention and differentiation by evolving the ancillary portfolio, strengthening Vueling Club and Avios value propositions, and developing new commercial models such as membership, discount and loyalty-linked products.
Acts as a strategic integrator, since the role translates commercial priorities into scalable product, distribution and customer value capabilities; leveraging data, experimentation, pricing, personalization and cross-functional coordination to ensure portfolio performance, customer relevance and long-term strategic fit.
Main Accountabilities
Drive the ancillary and loyalty strategy to deliver sustainable revenue growth, increased customer engagement and stronger repeat business.
Ensure the ancillary portfolio and loyalty propositions are continuously optimized through customer insight, market understanding, performance monitoring and stakeholder collaboration.
Ensure full visibility of ancillary and loyalty performance metrics, including uptake, penetration, yield, profitability and engagement, enabling timely prioritization and adaptation.
Drive the development of relevant, differentiated and scalable ancillary products, optional services, bundles and loyalty propositions across the customer journey.
Support Vueling Club and Avios commercial objectives through clear strategy, stronger customer value and effective integration into the commercial ecosystem.
Embed test-and-learn principles into product design, pricing, bundling, positioning and loyalty mechanics, ensuring experimentation is measurable, repeatable and action-oriented.
Ensure ancillary and loyalty platforms, tools and processes are scalable, reusable and aligned with long-term technology and business strategy.
Align ancillary and loyalty priorities, technology development and commercial execution through joint planning, governance and shared accountability.
Main Responsibilities
Define and execute the ancillary products and loyalty strategy across Vueling’s commercial ecosystem.
Own the roadmap for ancillary products including bags, seats, priority services, bundles, flexibility products and future non-ticket revenue opportunities.
Define and evolve the loyalty value proposition across Vueling Club and Avios-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
Drive Avios-related product development and commercial integration, including points-based loyalty opportunities, partnerships and future co-brand or membership-related propositions.
Lead the development of all engagement strategies to increase repeat purchase, loyalty and competitive relevance in key markets.
Oversee the full product lifecycle across ancillary and loyalty products, from ideation and business case development through launch, optimization and retirement.
Develop and maintain clear KPIs, performance monitoring and prioritization frameworks for the ancillary and loyalty portfolio.
Coordinate go-to-market planning and cross-functional execution with Brand, Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Operations, Customer, Digital, Technology and Product teams.
Build, lead and develop a team of product managers and analysts to drive category strategy, portfolio performance and continuous improvement.
Ensure a strong understanding of systems, operational processes and platform constraints to assess feasibility, manage trade-offs and identify scalable alternatives.
Main Relationships
Technology / Product: to define and deliver scalable ancillary and loyalty capabilities aligned with roadmap priorities and platform evolution.
E-Commerce / Digital: to ensure effective presentation, distribution and optimization of ancillary and loyalty products across owned digital channels.
Revenue Management: to align pricing logic, commercial priorities and performance optimization opportunities.
Customer and Operations: to ensure ancillary and loyalty propositions are operationally viable and supportive of customer experience.
Brand and Marketing: to support positioning, communication and go-to-market execution.
Analytics Team: to ensure transparent performance measurement, customer insight generation and actionable reporting.
IAG Group Airlines and Operating Companies / External Partners: to coordinate delivery and performance of Avios, membership, co-brand and other ancillary propositions.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Marketing or related disciplines
Postgraduate education or Master’s degree is desirable
Deep knowledge of ancillary revenue models, product lifecycle management and customer value creation
Strong understanding of loyalty economics, retention drivers and points- or membership-based engagement models
Solid understanding of commercial performance measurement and data-informed decision-making
Working knowledge of cross-functional collaboration between business, technology and product teams
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ancillary products, loyalty, product management, commercial strategy or related roles
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in leadership roles managing multidisciplinary teams
Proven experience defining, launching and scaling commercial products or customer propositions
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align diverse stakeholders around shared objectives
Experience developing business cases, roadmaps and KPI frameworks
Experience managing revenue-generating products across multiple markets or customer segments
Experience collaborating closely with commercial, digital, operational and technology teams
Experience managing external vendors or strategic partners is desirable
Experience managing or contributing to CapEx and OpEx budgets
