Job Purpose
Keep updated the Operations Manual (Flight and duty limits and rest time), the Crew Planning Manual (pilots / TCP) of all flights operated globally by Vueling, in accordance with Company needs, the current regulatory framework and the guidelines of the Manager of Crew Planning Standards in order to guarantee that the crew planning processes are safety in operation and comply with the Company's standards, collective agreements, the standards of the aeronautical authorities (EASA and National Aviation Authorities). Also, to support the relationship with trade unions and other strategic areas to ensure that Crew Planning's interests are effectively represented in committees and bargaining processes.
Main accountabilities
- Is accountable for analyzing the impact of applicable aviation regulations and collective agreements on the existing crew manuals.
- Is accountable for ensuring updates to the Operations and Crew Planning Manuals align with company, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Is accountable for guaranteeing that crew planning processes comply with the operational safety, the company’s standards, collective agreements, and the standards and regulations of the aviation authorities.
- Is accountable for improving crew planning processes through better use of the AIMS tool.
- Is accountable for evaluating crew planning performance through KPI and leading corrective or improvement actions.
- Is accountable for safe and effective implementation of regulatory–driven changes.
- Is accountable for ensuring training is delivered so that crew planning and crew operations staff are well-equipped to perform.
- Is accountable for managing crew negotiation-related activities within crew planning.
- Is accountable for carrying out any other job-related duties assigned as necessary to fulfill the mission of the job.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify regulatory and labor agreement requirements affecting crew planning in Vueling's operating countries.
- Participate in coordination with other departments to update procedures and manuals.
- Keep the Operational Manual (flight and duty limits and rest time) and the different crew planning manuals up to date.
- Identify and propose enhancements in the use of crew management tools. (e.g. AIMS)
- Monitor crew planning KPI and analyse root causes of deviations.
- Lead change management activities, including training and communication.
- Deliver training to crew planning and crew operations.
- Compile documentation and coordinate internal inputs regarding negotiation–related activities.

Education
- FP2 or CFGS degree, baccalaureate or higher degree,
- AIMS (Airline Information Management System) knowledge or other rostering systems.
Experience
- 2 years’ experience in Crew rostering, Crew Control departments or in operational areas
- Desirable experience in negotiation and managing labour relations.
Competencies
- Be proactive with the ability to coordinate, plan, prioritize and handle changing priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactivity and ability to work in dynamic and high-pressure environments.
- Analytic profile with attention to detail.
- High level of both English and Spanish.
