Job Purpose
Temporary position for 2 months.
Analyse and mitigate crew fatigue within the company's operations, using data analysis and biomathematical models, in accordance with established safety protocols and regulations, to ensure the highest levels of operational safety and efficiency
Main Accountabilities
- Identify and quantify fatigue risk levels, enabling proactive adjustments to crew schedules to reduce fatigue.
- Assess the causes of reported fatigue, whether operational or personal, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Implement schedule changes that effectively reduce fatigue without compromising operational requirements.
- Ensure crew members have sufficient rest, thereby enhancing safety and performance.
- Ensure accurate data entry, classification, and timely analysis ofvfatigue-related reports.
- Ensure the fatigue risk assessment tools are up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with the latest industry standards.
- Determine the root causes of fatigue, distinguishing between operational factors and personal issues, and to ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
- Provide senior management with comprehensive insights into fatigue trends and recommend strategic actions to mitigate fatigue risks.
- Identify specific demographics or locations with heightened fatigue levels and develop targeted interventions.
- Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and uphold the company's safety standards regarding fatigue management.
- Improve staff understanding and handling of fatigue-related issues, promoting a safer operational environment.
- Gain deeper insights into crew fatigue through advanced monitoring technologies and integrate findings into scheduling practices.
- Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee´s hand.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Analyse crew schedules using biomathematical models.
- Review and interpret crew fatigue reports. Assess the causes of reported fatigue, whether operational or personal, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with the programming department to modify crew schedules.
- Recommend adjustments to crew schedules based on fatigue analysis.
- Manage and oversee a team of human factors officers.
- Interact with biomathematical model providers for software improvements.
- Conduct thorough investigations into extreme fatigue cases.
- Generate and present detailed monthly fatigue reports.
- Monitor and report on fatigue trends by base, age group, and rank.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
- Conduct training sessions for programming and safety departments on fatigue
management. - Manage the implementation and analysis of biometric data collection projects.
- Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.

- Programming Department: For adjusting crew schedules to mitigate fatigue.
- IT Department: For developing and enhancing software applications related to fatigue management.
- Safety Department (Fly Data Monitoring): For correlating flight data with fatigue incidents and ensuring comprehensive risk assessment.
- Operations Department: For integrating fatigue management into daily operations and ensuring alignment with overall operational goals.
- Human Resources: For addressing fatigue-related compensation and personnel management issues.
- Biomathematical Model Providers: For software updates, support, and collaboration on improving fatigue risk assessment tools.
- Aviation Regulatory Authorities: For compliance with regulations and participation in audits.
- Academic and Research Institutions: For staying informed about the latest research and developments in fatigue management.
- Other Airlines and Industry Groups: For benchmarking and sharing best practices in fatigue management
Education
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering, or related
fields. - In-depth understanding of fatigue risk management principles, including the use of
biomathematical models and interpretation of data to mitigate fatigue. - Proficiency in using advanced data analysis software and tools to process and
interpret large datasets related to crew schedules and fatigue reports. - Comprehensive knowledge of aviation operations, crew scheduling, and the specific factors that contribute to crew fatigue
Experience
- Minimum 2 Years in Aviation or Related Fields, focused on safety, data analysis, or operational roles within the aviation sector. This experience is essential to understand the complexities of aviation operations and fatigue management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, particularly those involving data
analysis and technological implementation.
