Job Purpose
Vueling is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Airworthiness Engineer to support the intersection of engineering compliance and supply chain operations. This role ensures that all materials and components meet airworthiness standards while enabling efficient forecasting, planning, and inventory management. A key part of the role includes leading transversal projects related to the entry into service of new fleets, ensuring readiness across engineering, logistics, and operational teams.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
- Mandatory SB and AD analysis and control in AMOS
- Evaluation of recommended SB modifications, RILs and other manufacturer documentation to be implemented based on appropriate business cases
- Manage implementation of modifications programs to engines, airframe, or aircraft systems.
- Control and creation of part requirements for HT components control
- Maintenance program management and submission to authority for approval.
- Provide specialist technical support for line / base maintenance activity and AOG recovery to reduce ground time and improve aircraft availability
- Ensure accurate analysis and reporting of Structural Damages to guarantee continuous airworthiness
- Technical Assessment of all Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) in accordance with the Approved Maintenance Program
- Assisting with AMOS data migration of ex-factory and second-hand aircrafts
- Ensure and maintain aircrafts approved configuration
- Engine Heath Monitoring (EHM) control and oversight
- Provide technical support to aircraft lease returns
- Management of Engine Shop visit schedules, costs, and MRO relationships
- Managements of Landing Gear replacement plan and vendor relations.
- Creation of procedures and ensure continuous improvement.
- Forecast demand for aircraft components based on maintenance programs, reliability data, and fleet planning.
- Develop and maintain material planning strategies to ensure availability and minimize excess inventory.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead times to ensure timely delivery of critical parts.
- Optimize inventory levels using MRP tools and data analytics.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects for the entry into service of new aircraft fleets.
- Ensure material readiness, tooling availability, and compliance documentation are in place before operational launch.
- Liaise with OEMs, suppliers, engineering, and logistics teams to align timelines and deliverables.
- Identify risks and bottlenecks in supply chain readiness and propose mitigation plans.
- Support training and knowledge transfer related to new fleet materials and airworthiness requirements.
Education
Engineering Degree is essential
Experience
- At least 2 years of previous experience in a CAMO/Part 145 department is desired
- Experience with A320/B737 is desired
- Experience with AMOS/Engineering is desired
Competencies
- Capable of working in a high-pressured and fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Python is a plus).
- Experience managing cross-functional projects, especially related to fleet introduction.
